Last Hurrah

With Aunt Nancy in town for a week we had a crazy last week of summer.  2 visits to Thanksgiving Point, swimming, and the county fair.  Alicia was exhausted by the end.  A great way to end the summer though.  It made everything go faster.

We purchased an annual pass for Thanksgiving Point this last year, so we skipped $2 Tuesday and had the Farm to ourselves on Monday.

On Thursday we went to the Utah County Fair.  Yep, in the rainstorm.  Luckily we were never outside when the rain hit.  Unfortunately we got caught in the bad portion when we were on the freeway headed home.  Freaked Alicia out, but we made it home safe and sound.

The boy’s favorite part of the fair is the “party” (carnival).  They chose to go on the Ferris Wheel and Merry-Go-Round.  Not my first choices, but it was exciting for them.

Poor Garrick did this the whole time:

Not much for a baby to do, but sit and be patient.  He did great, which made mommy’s life easier.  Poor thing!  Maybe next year bud.

Connor was not impressed with the farm animals.

We could not get him out of the livestock barn fast enough.  He informed me that the farm is stinky.  So I guess that is a no to chickens huh?

On Friday, Nancy left, and we headed back to Thanksgiving Point with Stephanie.  We have loved doing things with them this last summer.

It is a hoot to watch these two together.  They are both huge flirts and they just combust when they start interacting.  Both Steph and I are in trouble.

Despite the bright day, it was beautiful weather.  I can honestly say this summer was a blast, went too fast, and I am totally ready for school to start.  So hooray for the big day tomorrow!!
