I Finally Got Up the Nerve

I’ve been considering/talking/thinking about doing this for about the last 5 years.  Anya mentioned that she had seen a cut that I might be willing to go for, and I looked it up a couple of weeks ago.  Still wasn’t sure if I could do it, but I finally worked up the courage this week.  (I have to say it was probably because Dan said I wouldn’t do it.  Magic words dear:)

I LOVE IT!!!

By far the easiest haircut I have ever had.  Still trying to figure out how to work some things, and I need to get some small hair accessories, but overall I love just being able to finger-comb it.  Anya warned me I can’t have it for the next 10 years because it will just show how lazy I am!  It is so much easier to put a swimming cap on now!  Bring on the summer.

One Step at a Time

Wahoo!

2 mile walk/run, 12 mile bike ride, and 800 meters swimming.  And I’m still standing!

Best part---I conquered the mile long hill up to my house on my bike!!  It took 15 minutes to get up, but I did it without stopping!  (which is a really depressing time when I realize I can probably run it closer to 10-12 minutes)  Oh well, the hill was the very last thing that I did in the workout.

Have I mentioned that this biking thing is probably one of the only things that makes me HATE where I live?!  There is no way to get to my house without going up some hill.  Not so fun on the bike, with my 30lb baby on the back.

I tried a short ride at the beginning of the week.  Totally thought I was going to die.  Literally had to walk my bike up the last hill, trying not to throw up the entire way.  Garrick thought it was a blast.  So would I, if I was sitting comfortably in the back, not having to pedal.

Well, here we are at the end of the week.  I am finally getting comfortable with the gears on the bike, and without the baby, the hills aren’t “too” bad.  Back on track and getting ready for mid-April!
