What would Bear Lake be without swimming? We didn’t have any big toys (ie…boat, waverunners, etc) but had fun on the beach. Our campground was supposedly “beachfront”, yeah, a beach of reeds. Luckily there was a little bay area close enough to walk, and it had a nice little sand/dirt beach. It was even nicer that we were pretty much the only people there.
On Sunday we checked out the beach, but didn’t want the kids to get too wet.
As you can tell, that went really well.
The boys tired of the water quickly and just wanted to dig in the sand. Garrick and Haden made sand castles with the pails.
Connor tried to make a waterfall and river into the lake. Then he resorted to just throwing mud.
The older kids played frizbee and let’s-see-if-we-can-bean-each-other-with-the-water-ball.
The best Connor did with going out into the water was with someone else. Aunt Krystal was happy to oblige.
Haden didn’t want to go in the water at all. He just tried to get everyone wet and/or muddy that got close to him.
Garrick was not impressed with the life vest. He was a top-heavy mushroom that couldn’t keep his balance, and kept of falling into the water. Hated it when we made him lay down and try swimming.
Girl’s chest-bump. Which turned into a little bit of mud wrestling. I remember when I used to be that skinny. Ahhh, why don’t we appreciate things until they are gone?
My sexy husband. What a hottie. Notice there are no pictures of Alicia. Yep, there are 2 whole pictures of me from the trip. Not that I am complaining about not posting a pic of me in a swimsuit. :)
We were thinking about taking a camping trip up there... maybe not so much now that we know what the campsites are like. :)
