Conference weekend tends to be hectic for us. I LOVE IT!! I used to be good and pull out the 72hr kits to rifle through them and get stuff updated. Then I moved on to FHE kits and other homemaking stuff like that. Now the thing I look forward to is hanging out with family. So I tend to spend the Saturday cooking; since what family thing would be complete without Alicia cooking something?
Dan’s family has the tradition of all the men going to priesthood and then out to Japanese for dinner. It takes them FOREVER to get home. So all us “wimin” get together and have a girls night out. At least it used to be a girls night until all the grandchildren came. So now we just have a big party for the grandkids….oh and lots of yummy food for us.
This year Rita and Kat planned painting pumpkins and wahoo, was it a hit! My boys were ecstatic to pick out their own pumpkin, and then to PAINT them put it over the top.
I loved this picture of Haden. I can totally see a Lex expression in his face. Must be the cheeks. It’s a good thing they are best buds.
Connor is big into black and green. I think he got almost as much paint on his shirt since kept on getting too close to the pumpkin.
After painting pumpkins the kids put together witches’ hats using cookies, frosting, hershey kisses, and of course sprinkles. Way too much sugar, but a lot of fun!
We actually got a shot of all the grandchildren – minus Garrick who was sleeping upstairs and I was not about to wake him. What a cute bunch of kids!

It was a lot of fun. I love that picture of Haden too. What a cutie! And the picture of all the grandkids is the first picture I've seen of Kimber where I can actually see some of me in her.
