Pre-Halloween Fun

Been a busy couple of days. For some reason I always block out how busy Halloween is, and am surprised every year. This year added on school, and boy, now I am wondering what I am getting in to.

Thursday night we did our annual carving of the pumpkins. Alicia’s least favorite activity of the year. Every year I threaten to just draw on the pumpkins, and then give in at the last minute so I can join in the fun. I HATE cleaning out pumpkins. Luckily my husband is sweet enough to clean them all out if he needs too. (No he didn’t clean mine. In fact, I emptied out more pumpkins than he did this year!)

First I had to take pictures of the boys and the pumpkins. I can proudly say we grew just enough pumpkins in our garden for our whole family. They were perfect sizes too!

The boys trying to help Garrick sit. He doesn’t look impressed with the help!

Now on to scooping out the goo!

Connor went right at it. Haden was not sure about the whole thing!

I just noticed it looks like Dan is threatening Haden with a knife. No wonder he is nervous!

Yesterday was the Halloween Parade at school. Busy day running back and forth to the elementary school and preschool. Connor chose a different costume for school than to actually wear trick-or-treating. So for the parade I get this kind of picture:

Yep, it is my boy! Trust me!

And here is his cute class. Connor loves his teacher!

No pictures of Haden at preschool, since I was dumb and didn’t recharge my battery. Thankfully Britta is great and was taking pictures the whole time. I can’t wait to see how they turn out. And I have decided to hold off on posting any pictures of the boys in their “real” costumes until I get them dressed for going out tonight. So stay tuned until Monday!

  1. I laughed so hard at the picture of Dan threatening Haden with the knife. Well, not at the picture, but at your commentary. Sooo funny!
