The Tiger’s made it to the 4A State Championship Game this year. Richard had an amazing end to the season. Great rebounding and points coming into the tournament. It was really exciting to watch.
We made a day out of the championship game. We took FrontRunner up to SLC and rode the trolley over to the arena. Totally missed the train in AF (bad time management on our part) and ended up racing it up to the Bangerter Station. That was fun. What we parents do to keep our word to our kids.
The boys loved riding a “real” train and were actually pretty well behaved…most of the time. We had a little bit of a snafu when we got to the arena and lost G. Thankfully there weren’t too many people, so we found him pretty quickly. Still got my heart rate going before the game even started.
We had awesome seats. Row 1 behind the team. It was great to cheer Richard. Unfortunately it was a heartbreaking 1 point loss. What a great experience though. (Although the boys played their tablets the entire time I think—Go figure!)
Dan was brave and took all the boys home on the train while I stayed up in SLC for a girl’s night with my fam. (Discovered the movie Austenland…loved it more than the book.) Whew! How about that for making memories?
