We made it back safe and sound from NYC and now I am trying to figure out how to dump the 4g worth of pics we took. (Unfortunately I don’t have that much space available on my computer at the moment. *sigh* Time to do some cleaning up.)
Until I get those up and going I am going to introduce you to the newest member of our family.
Much to Alicia’s chagrin, Dan’s company sent this baby home about a week before we left. (Thanks a lot…no sarcasm dripping at all. For those who don’t know, when Dan gets a new gadget he enters some sort of alternate reality trying to figure out every possible feature it has. Takes him a few days to emerge. Not fun when Alicia’s is trying to get things ready for a long trip.)
I have accepted this little baby though, and even named her Eva. I don’t know what we would have done without her trying to navigate everywhere. I even love that she stutters when saying “Rochchchester”. It was a hoot trying to interpret the street names. Dan found some fun apps that helped with dining and navigation, so that helped ease some of the burden of finding places to eat.
The only sad thing is now that we have Eva, we don’t really need Mandy our Garmin GPS anymore. Oh well, she will probably still sit in the car waiting to be pulled out in a pinch.
