The Dark Hole

So I have been remiss since the beginning of the month updating things.  All I can blame it on is the Dark, Black Hole I went into on that oh, so special day.  Okay it wasn’t that bad, but no matter what they say, 30 is NOT a fun birthday.

It was a pretty boring day for me, granted I had an amazing trip coming up so I shouldn’t have expected much.  Although, my husband helped a little and got me beautiful flowers to help brighten my day.

This is how we spent my birthday (actually the whole weekend):

With the trip coming up, we had to get the peas out of the garden, shelled, and frozen before we left.  Thus started the great pea haul.  The boys loved finally picking something out of the garden.  We got tons of peas.  I think final count was filling this bowl 3 times.  Then the lovely time of shelling the peas.  Thanks Nance, Theo, and Marya for your help.  I think I would still be shelling peas if you hadn’t come over!

I got to blow out the candles on the yummy monkey bread cake my friend made for me!  Thanks Jolene, Dan thanks you too!

There we go.  30 years old.  I seem to remember when I thought the world was going to end before I turned 20.  Gah, I have moved onto the next age group in survey’s!

Side story---We were at the Cumorah Pagent last week and one of the performers was visiting with us asking the standard questions, where are you from etc… Come to find out he was from our area and goes to Timpanogos.  Then he turns to me and asks if any of my kids go to Timpanogos as well.  I sat up straight and said “do I look like I’m that old?”  Then Dan say’s “Sensitive much”.  Not funny :(  Okay funny, but annoying.
