I did so good for awhile on getting caught up….then September hit. It felt like it just flew by. In fact, there were no pictures on my camera until the last weekend of the month. Thankfully Dan had a few on his to remind me what happened. Let’s just say Alicia was overwhelmed with school starting, gardening, canning, and training for the WOS Relay Race.
Here are a few highlights of what happened with the family:
First was the massive storm that hit at the beginning of the month. Dan was headed off to a BYU game and got this picture of the funnel clouds trying to form. I sat in my front yard watching the black, gray, and green clouds billowing around the mountain. It was amazing to watch. It was actually a thrill to watch it from in the house when it hit. Until I saw the neighbor’s roof shingles standing vertical. Then, I ran out to see that mine were doing the same. That awesome storm cost us a roof. I was grateful for great home insurance. (At least until my premiums skyrocket next year!) I’ll post before and after pictures of the roof when I find them.
Connor earned his Bear award at the beginning of September. He received his Bear, 1 gold arrow, and 4 silver arrows. He loves cubs and has amazing leaders! Thanks so much ladies!
Token picture of the boys at a BYU football game. Let’s just say they don’t have much interest in football. We hoped the Charger’s game we went to in August would peak their interest a little. They weren’t thrilled about going in the cold, but had fun hanging out with Dad. Though, there were no complaints when it was time to go home.
September ended on a little bit of a sour note for Garrick. On the last day of the month he had an awful bike accident going down the hill to the trail. Ended up having to get stitches in 2 places, good goose eggs on his forehead, and lovely road rash going up his side. Poor thing. Once again Alicia was grateful for supplemental accident insurance. Oh, and having a nurse for my VT!!
