Another awesome Father’s Day come and gone! I feel so blessed to have so many great men in my life and just pray that my boys will follow in their footsteps! We had a great day and Alicia tried to give Daniel as much of a day off as possible. I started to realize how much I rely on Daniel. (It was very difficult to not ask him to change diapers, help with dishes, referee the boys, etc…)
We started out with having a homemade breakfast (French toast yum!) which we all shared together…
side note: I have decided that breakfast in bed is bogus unless the whole family is in there with you. On Mother’s Day the boys served me breakfast in bed and I felt like I had been banished to my bedroom while everyone else was having fun at the table! So we had breakfast as a family!
…Back again. Later in the afternoon Dan got to open his presents from the boys (waterguns for everyone in the family) and Alicia (Smokescreen Transformer), then we had our Father’s Day BBQ and Birthday Celebration with the Preece’s. (Isn’t it great when you hit multiple birds with 1 stone?) It was tons of fun. The kids ran around like crazy, of course, and there was tons of great food. Dan and his brothers got great treat bags from Rita, and Jacqui and I loved our “Goody box” she put together for our birthdays.
What an amazing group of people to associate with!
After the BBQ we ran over to see my Dad and load him up with some more shotgun shells. It’s great when Dad’s have a hobby that always needs to be supplied! I am truly grateful for all the men in my life. Although I feel outnumbered at times it is amazing how much they do for me and I truly appreciate it!
