So taking the recommendation of Jared (and Dan being more than willing to go again) Alicia went to her first movie since…..Indiana Jones (or was it Twilight? Nah, that doesn’t count!). With my sister being an angel and taking my boys for an entire day, we ventured forth with Garrick to introduce him into the Star Trek Universe. AMAZING!!
I have never considered myself a Trekkie or a Trekker, or whatever you call it now days, but the new Star Trek did peak my interest and now I am wondering how much of a Star Trek geek I really am. I had grown up with the different series through the years, and my family has a tradition of the Star Trek marathon (18 hours straight of Star Trek at the last one) and I guess all that exposure has made me more knowledgeable that I thought. I loved all of the homage's to previous movies, and can’t wait to see where they go with this new direction.
Anyway, we loved the movie and Garrick was an angel through the whole thing. We definitely recommend it to anyone. Oh, and a big thumbs-up to assigned seating at Thanksgiving Point.
