Garrick finished preschool about a week before the other boys ended school. He was super excited for the end of the year. Alicia, was actually looking forward to not chasing around quite so much.
I was helping out during preschool that day, and then they were having a picnic lunch for the families afterwards. It made it a little bit longer of a day, but still fun. Unfortunately, Alicia ended up having a “bad” day. You know, one of those ones where things just seemed to continue to go wrong?
First, brought my camera. Forgot to check the batteries, so I couldn’t get any pictures of them walking out on their “graduation parade”. Then I helped give the balloons to the kids. I guess I forgot how to tie knots because, Garrick’s promptly came untied and flew away. That was pretty bad, what was worse was when his friend’s balloon (that I tied) flew away as well. Shoot me!! Two crying kids and it was my fault! Thankfully they got over it quick when they saw the cupcakes they were going to get.
So we got home, I quickly charged the camera battery and took a few pictures. 
Then I took pity on Garrick, and when I did my grocery shopping that night, I picked up a balloon for him. Super disappointed though, it lost it’s air way too fast. But in Garrick’s words: “Best. Preschool Day. Ever!!” 
One more year of preschool! Then we have a “big kid”.
