Since that seems to be the major source of conversation recently! CRAZY!!! Beginning to wonder if we will ever dry out…but then things are going on around my house that makes me want the warm-up to go slow.
Let’s start with April. First, the annual Conference Snowstorm:

Dan got the dog’s cage fixed up earlier in the week. Thank goodness.
Now, the day AFTER the snowstorm:

We have a LOT of farm land in our neighborhood and one neighbor has turned his orchard into a neighborhood garden. You can have as much area as you would like as long as you maintain it. We may have bit off more than we could chew. We have about 70 sq ft that we are trying to cultivate. Most of April and May was harvesting rocks! I’m sure there will be more posts about this endeavor.
Now the reason we want a slow warm-up:
Yep that would be a pipe going down the middle of the street.
They “temporarily” installed this pipe to alleviate flooding concerns from the canyon. Then they are going to bury it when the flooding is over….in SEPTEMBER! The thing literally splits our ward in half, and you have to go 2 miles out of your way to get to the other half. Thankfully they have built little bridges in a couple of places, so you can at least walk to the neighbors.
Starting to become a pain in the butt. However, I hear it is better than the river that ran down the road a few years ago. Nobody mentioned this when we moved in! They kids love it though. They think it is a great adventure to walk along the pipe and hear the water.
Here’s to a slow start to summer! At least the really hot part of summer!
