I have no excuses. Last month was just a lazy month with posting. In fact, it was a lazy month for taking pictures period. We hit a routine in our lives, and it was kind of nice to have the mundane. April always proves to be chaotic, so I’ll try to keep this up to date. A couple of funny conversations to share from the past month.
#1
Dan: “Connor, go get the Old Testament for scriptures.”
Connor: “It doesn’t look THAT old.”
Haden: “Nope, it’s just the words that are old.”
#2
Haden: “Why do we have to go to Mark’s?”
Alicia: “We are going to clean-up the yard and cut the roses.”
Haden: “Why are we cutting the roses?”
Alicia: “It’s called pruning. We do it to tell the roses that it is spring and time to grow.”
Haden: “Can’t we just call them?”
#3 – This is from a worksheet Connor did for his 100 days celebration. (I couldn’t get a good picture of it, so I’m transcribing.)
I wish I had 100 games
I wish I had 100 wii’s
I wish I had 100 treats
But I’d never want 100 Moms
I asked him why he didn’t want 100 Moms. “You boss me around enough. I don’t need any more, otherwise I would never get to do anything fun.”
Heehee. Fun stuff.
So just a side note - my first Triathlon is 2 weeks from tomorrow. Ack!! Where did the time go? Only 1 more week of hard training. I have managed to go all of the distances, and even one right after another. I know I can get through it, I just hope I don’t embarrass myself!
good luck!!!! that is so awesome you are doing that. I'll be rooting you on! Wish I could be there:)
